Apple Magic Mouse!

Apple released three new products! The new unibody white Macbook with the larger glass multi-touch trackpad, the new iMac with up to a 27 inch screen, and the Magic Mouse. I think that the innovation with the magic mouse is the top item that they released. Apple brings their spectacular multi-touch to a wireless Bluetooth mouse for the first time. This small item allows users to scroll through web pages, iTunes, iPhoto and other applications without the means of a scrolling ball or wheel. It is even smart enough to realize how many fingers are being used on the mouse, and what they are doing. This technology give the user the feel of having both a point and click mouse, as well as a multi-touch track pad featured on their MacBooks. No other manufacturer has a product that can compare to the versatility of the Magic Mouse, and with a price of $69 and coming standard with new iMacs, I believe it will be the new standard for the computer mouse and just another thing that Windows will never catch up to!

Tweetie 2 iPhone App

So, @atebits has just released the new version of Tweeite, Tweetie 2. Although it is a new application and not merely an update, it is very worth the small price of $2.99! They have progressed far from their original Apple Design Award winning Tweetie application to now add many amazing features to take full advantage of the new iPhone 3G[S]‘ capabilities. A few of the new features include video upload, a landscape mode that actually works all the time, the option to change and upload your profile picture, and many more amazing features.

Another great feature for connecting with friends and making new ones would be the new and improved “Nearby” feature! Here, you can either search through the traditional list of nearby tweets, or you can also now view these tweets actually on a map that gives their location. This added feature takes advantage of the iPhone’s GPS capabilities and allows friends to share what their doing and where they’re at as well.

These are just some of the great features that you can take advantage of with this amazing app! Be sure to check out @atebits website for more information on Tweetie 2, as well as Scribbles and the Tweetie cliet for mac.

Shhh! It Happens Tour Review

Last Monday, I traveled down to Fairdale, Kentucky to the Bulldog Cafe for the Shh! It Happens Tour stop. I had never been to this venue, but with a line up of Sparks the Rescue, Phone Calls From Home, Cash Cash, and Valencia, I couldn’t pass it up. When we got off of the interstate where the GPS told us to get off, I was kinda shocked to see pretty much nothing. There were a few houses as we traveled down the road and this area was kinda odd looking for a music venue. When we finally discovered the venue, it was basically in a small building and it appears that it doubles as a restaurant. Though I did’t get a picture of the outside of the venue, I did happen to get a class picture of the neighboring building. It was a drive thru liquor store…where we got carded to buy a coke…seriously!!!! Our interview with Sparks the Rescue went great. They are all very down to earth guys and they have some awesome music! Even if you don’t know the words, it’s still something that you can get into! While we were waiting for the show to begin, we noticed that grandma, also known as security, was lounging at the opposite end of the large room in her recliner, sitting next to her hover-round and oxygen tank. Seriously, it’s not quite a place to bring your grandma to. We were quick to realize why she was called security because my friend offered to open the door for him and she called him a smartass. I was very caught off guard by this, but she was pretty intense! Other than the crappy venue with a soundboard run by a seemingly 12 year old, it was a pretty good show. It’s always a good show when you get to see bands that you love in a very intimate venue where they can connect with their fans. Be sure to check out all of the bands that were there at the links below!!!

Strange Bugs

So apparently the small town of Seymour, Indiana has been taken over by some strange insect. Literally they are everywhere! I have drove across town and they seem to be spread all the way across. They look like an overgrown nat or a deformed fly. Obvioulsy not normal. Maybe if it’s something exciting, I will Bethesda first to have covered it, if not, then that happens. I’ll try to come up with a picture. I’m sure they’re all over the cars in the walmart parking lot as we speak!

3.0 FAIL!

So basically it’s now 1:11am EST and there is no update available yet for my iPhone! Ridiculous!!! Not really sure what Apple is waiting for. Many articles and posts that I have read across the internet says that they are waiting until midnight PST, which would be 3am EST, so we’ll see if that happens to be true. If not, I guess I’m gonna be waiting until tomorrow for the update, possibly taking my macbook to swim lessons with my while I’m “supervising.”

iPhone 3.0 Update

So tomorrow marks the release of the new iphone 3.0 software update. With added features cut copy paste, a landscape keyboard, mms, spotlight search, voice memos, YouTube subscriptions, and countless others, it is sure to be a hit!!! You can be that I will be anxiously awaiting for the download to be available tonight at midnight! With the launch of the iPhone 3G [S] on the 19th, this should be a good preview into what is to come!

Swimming????

So me and two of my friends decided that, after working all day at the pool, we wanted to go for a swim. It was a great idea until we realized that we did not have a pool to go to and that it was beginning to storm. My friend Mahala got the brilliant idea that we would drive around to all of the hotels in Seymour (note that there are not very many…especially ones with indoor pools) and find one that will let us go swimming without actually getting a room there. So we went by the Holiday Inn Express because it looked promising. We pulled up to the awning and then coaxed Mahala to go in alone. She came out rejected with a feeling of defeat as the person at the counter had turned her down. Not discouraged by the rejection, she drove us on over to the Hampton Inn. This is where our vlogging begins. We were not expecting for them to allow us to use the pool!!! Mahala is just a smooth talker!!! LOL!!!
